Chrome Plating Restorer/Chromium Surface Repair Agent

This product is specially designed for repairing oxidized, rusted, and dull chrome-plated parts. It contains highly effective active acid (pH 0.5-2) to quickly dissolve metal oxides, nano-surfactants to penetrate and remove oil stains, and deionized water as the base to ensure no secondary corrosion. It is suitable for repairing chrome-plated layers on car wheels, bathroom hardware, and industrial machinery, restoring mirror gloss and forming a passivation protective film.

1. Surface pretreatment: wipe with a towel to remove dust;

Note: If the chrome-plated layer has been oxidized and penetrated, it cannot be repaired and only the surface rust stains can be removed

FAQ

Q1: What is the difference with ordinary pickling agent?
A: Special activator for chromium-containing surface to avoid over-corrosion (ordinary pickling is prone to hydrogen embrittlement
Q2: Can it repair severely peeled or blistered chrome plating?
A: It cannot be repaired! This product is only for the surface oxide layer (rust stains/scale/loss of gloss). If the plating has peeled or blistered, it needs to be re-electroplated
Q3: Can it be used on aluminum wheels or stainless steel surfaces?
A: It is forbidden to use! Activated acids will react with aluminum/magnesium/zinc to produce hydrogen embrittlement, causing metal cracking. It is only suitable for chrome plating on steel substrates
